About Wood's End Studio
Wood's End Studio in Ontario's south Muskoka district showcases John de Lang's exquisite award-winning carvings and hosts unique special events. His studio is tucked among the trees in a ten-acre scenic paradise, with its charming gardens and a landscaped pond: an ideal backdrop for an artist devoted to nature. The showroom of carvings is complemented by The Enchanted Forest, where fairytale houses on woodsy trails offer magic to youthful spirits of all ages. Jack climbs the beanstalk; the Teddy Bears enjoy their picnic; the Three Little Pigs tend their homes; Tinkerbell keeps an eye on Captain Hook's Pirate Ship; Red Riding Hood and the Wolf keep a wary eye on each other; Goldilocks approaches the Three Bears' Cottage; Sleeping Beauty awaits her prince; Hansel and Gretel encounter the Gingerbread House; Cinderella heads off to the ball . . . while the whimsical faeries watch over their beloved Forest and flutter around their home in the big tree. There is no formal admission charge for 'The Enchanted Forest'. However, John and Marilyn de Lang donate their time and costs to build and maintain the Forest, and donations for 'Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary' are gratefully accepted at Wood's End to help the animals at the sanctuary.

The Enchanted Forest is available during the daytime for self-guided tours in July and August, weather permitting, even if the studio is closed.
