The beautiful Blue Jay has a notable crest and is larger than a robin. It has white spots in its wings and tail, and a black necklace. It emits a variety of sounds, ranging from a harsh 'jay' to a musical 'queedle'. It is common to southern Canada down to the Gulf states, and prefers oak and pine woods, suburban gardens, and towns.
